AfroWall is two years old.

This Note Marks two years since the Launch of this domain name AfroWall.Com.
Two years of huge experience about life online.
Two years of falling, getting up, dusting myself and moving on with AfroWall.
Two years full of Excitement as i stumble upon new things that i have never seen or known before.
Two years of meeting so many new friends that i hardly remember them all.

AfroWall, African Online Community Was born on the night of 23rd April 2008.
It started off pretty well as people came in to browse, express themselves and chat with other friends
With time, some left while new ones came in.
Each time a member disappeared, It felt like i have lost a friend in real time. That is how close i was and still is with AfroWall.
We have lost so many good people but we also gained so many good people.
In time we came to understand that everything we do is just like life and death, non can exist without the other.
But we must always move on, that's the only option humanity have, No matter the situation.

As we celebrate our two year Anniversary, we remember the Ladies and Gentlemen who ensured that we are what we are today.
In no particular order of preference, I will like to thank these few people who Added more concrete to the Foundations of the WALL to ensure that it stands firm.

1- Milla {Samson} AfroWall's General Editor.
I know many people will doubt me if i say that i have logged on to Afrowall every single day since it was created until today.
That's two whole years without missing a day. Well its true. That's how much of my life the Online Community has taken.
There is always something or someone new and exciting that drags me up whenever i want to sit down and rest.
I have been through all kinds of situations trying to keep the candle burning.
I have come to realize that buying a domain name and creating the forum is just the beginning. The major work lies in trying to improve and upgrade.
I was not a programmer until the forum was born. I had to start learning how to modify php files and eventually graduated to creating Scripts for php based Websites.
Despite the fact that AfroWall is a public Online Community, I still see it as my Child.
Since a father does not allow his child to perish, So shall i support AfroWall until i cease to be no more.

2 - Eze1

Eze1 is my cousin who lives with me. He is one person among my close friends and relatives who believe so much in AfroWall as much as i do. He is that kind of guy who will hand a box of Matches to you when the wind blows off your Candle.
The kind of guy who will hand over a candle to you when the one you have is completely burnt.
Eze1 will stay awake with me most of the nights trying to see what was keeping me awake and making sure that i wasn't alone on whatever it was. Words of mouth cannot thank him enough but he knows how much i value all his efforts.
AfroWall has written his name on the Source codes where it will never be erased by anything or anybody.

3 - Gabby
Gabby my good Assistant and our Celebs & Events Manager is one of those who came here and never plan to leave again.
She is highly talented in organizing things in a way that makes me envy her sometimes.
Even when it was lonely, when it was just me and her, she ensured that many sections got updated.
AfroWall appreciates all your efforts gabby and we also promise you that your name will remain here even long after we are gone from this World. We love you Gabby.

4 - Immaculate
Though she has not been online for sometime now, I personally know why but that will not stop us from holding her high like we have always done in the past. Immaculate was and is still my first Global Manager who so much believed and encouraged me to move on even when it was lonely around here as well. She is one of the reasons why we are where we are today and for that, we will have her name written on our source codes too.

5 - Hbabe
The energy and activity on the forum today was inspired by Hbabe who started posting and clicking away right from the day she was invited to Afrowall. Hbabe is a kind of person who doesn't care who you are or what you do as long as you give her the space she needs to operate. Her kind of life has won her so may adorable friends. She came into AfroWall and took it as her own website. Just like Gabby, She is responsible for most of the active members we have here today. Hbabe also inspired some of the features we have today. She will stay awake past midnight with me online to test some of the new features before we go public.
She is such a matured girl that her advices makes me want to get married tomorrow.
We appreciate your effort to the development of AfroWall. Your name is on the way to our source codes.

5 - Yemstrad
The Honourable Afro-Made Politician. One of the the people who came in here and embraced our concept and innovations.
Yemstrad is a versatile character that can fit into many aspects of human endeavor as i discovered from being his friend.
We are glad we have his kind of person on AfroWall. More few people like him and Facebook will be in trouble. 13.gif
Kudos to you Yemstrad, As AfroWall grows, so are you and all the people who ensures that it grows.

6 - 3rd_Raikage.
3rd as he is fondly called on AfroWall is another smart person that i have come to adore in time.
All these great people uses their time and money to make sure that the Wall is a reality.
I remember what he told me one day when i told him that i was tired.
He said and i quote "It is the strength and dedication you put up on Afrowall that makes people like me come back all the time"
That statement alone doubled my strength and won 3rd over to me. I personally thank you 3rd and we hope that in time, The Recognized certificate of Afrowall Staff will be hanging in your Sitting room and Office as one of those who made it what it is.

7 - Computer
My silent manager of the Phones Section. He has the potentials of a silent achiever who will actively do his duty without much help from the outside people. He comes in all the time to check on his section and updates us with latest news.
I remember we go a whole three months sometimes without chating and yet he does what he thinks is the best for us.
We thank and appreciate your effort towards the growth of this great forum.

8 - Beauty
Beauty has been with us right from the beginning. One of those who started the forum with us and still remain active member until date. She is one of those people that i see online on Afrowall and upgrade my determination to stay online too and keep the candle burning. She reminds me of the importance of continuity. We appreciate her contributions to the African Online Community and we know that whatever we become someday, she will definitely be part of it.

9 - Spenchuks
My funny friend. I count him among the people with great sense of humour. What other blessing could one ask for when you are surrounded by people who throws jokes here and there, now and then to remind you how important it is to laugh always.
Spenchuks is also one of the members who started Afrowall with us. We will always remember you Spen.

10 - Sledjama a.k.a webdezzi.
Despite the fact that he is determined to be the king of our Games Feature, He still makes out time to participate in making posts and solving issues around the forum. He is part of our team member who discovers bugs now and then to help us be on the safe side. One of the Young minds i am still thinking on how to motivate beyond their capabilities.
I have one one sentence for you : Keep winning on the games. I will be right there Asap.

11 - elowa, Ebila, Hot doc and Striker

These are major AfroWall members who log in every other day to make the Community active. They are also my friends which underline the concept of our community as a friendly Community. I am looking forward to having them as team members someday but the time for that will surely show up pretty soon.

12 - My2cents
My2cents is a very intelligent and experienced web developer whom i know somewhere else before she joined us.
She is one of the people whom their experiences is very useful for our community.
We will continue to value and appreciate her contributions on Afrowall.
